Overview
Sonamarg works perfectly as a day trip: 80 km from Srinagar along the Sindh river, with the Thajiwas glacier as the main event. This is a private-cab tour — you set the departure time, stop where you like for photos, and aren't herded like on shared coach tours. Price is per cab (up to 4 guests), not per person.
Day-wise itinerary
1Srinagar → Sonamarg → Srinagar
7 AM pickup from your hotel/houseboat. Photo stops along the Sindh river at Kangan and Gagangir. Arrive Sonamarg by 10. Pony or hike to Thajiwas glacier (2–3 hrs). Lunch at the meadow. Optional drive toward Zoji La viewpoint if the road is open. Return by 7 PM.

Is the price per person?
No — ₹3,500 is for the whole cab (up to 4 guests). A Tempo Traveller for larger groups is quoted separately.
Can we combine this with a Ladakh drop?
Yes — Sonamarg is on the Leh highway. We often extend this into a Kargil/Leh onward journey; ask us for a combined quote.
