Overview
If you've already done Gulmarg and Pahalgam — or you simply want a day without crowds — Doodhpathri is our honest recommendation. Wide green meadows, the milk-white Shaliganga river, pine forests, and almost no commercial noise. Because food options are minimal there, we arrange a picnic-style lunch and kahwa. Price is per cab (up to 4 guests).
Day-wise itinerary
1Srinagar → Doodhpathri → Srinagar
8 AM pickup. Drive through Budgam's villages (90 min). Walk the main meadow, then continue to the quieter Palmaidan meadow our drivers know. Riverside picnic lunch. Return to Srinagar by 6 PM.

Is Doodhpathri better than Gulmarg?
Different, not better. Gulmarg has the gondola and infrastructure; Doodhpathri has silence and space. Ideal as a second-visit or crowd-free day.
