Why Sinthan Top
Sinthan Top is the high point — literally — of the Kokernag–Kishtwar road: a 3,750-metre pass where snowbanks line the tarmac into June and the view rolls 360° across the Pir Panjal. It's the rare place where you can have a snowball fight in summer, two hours after leaving the saffron plains.
What we arrange
Day trips from Srinagar via Kokernag (the classic combination), sturdy vehicles with drivers experienced on high-pass hairpins, warm-layer reminders, and kangri-and-kahwa stops at the top's seasonal stalls.
Good to know
Weather turns fast above 3,500 metres — mornings are clearest, and we plan Sinthan as a first-half-of-day summit with the springs on the return leg. The pass closes with winter snow; we track opening dates each May.
Trips that include Sinthan Top
Sinthan Top trips are built to order — most guests add it to a Srinagar itinerary. Tell us your dates and we'll plan the route, stays and permits end to end.
