Good to know: This is a border-area destination. Indian nationals should carry a government photo ID (Aadhaar/passport) for routine checks at army posts en route; foreign nationals need prior clearance for some sectors. We confirm the current requirement for your dates and arrange the guidance — it's a normal part of visiting, not a hurdle.

Why Keran

Keran sits right on the Kishanganga (Neelum) river, its wooden homestays lining a bank that looks straight across the water at the village of the same name on the other side. You reach it over Sadhna Pass — itself a highlight at about 3,000 metres — and the reward is riverside evenings of a stillness that's hard to describe: just water, mountains and woodsmoke.

What we arrange

Cab with a Sadhna-experienced driver, riverside homestay bookings (simple, warm, honest food), the ID guidance for checkpoints, and combined Keran–Teetwal routings for travellers doing the full Karnah frontier arc.

Good to know

Stay a night — the drive deserves it and the river at dawn is the whole point. Phone coverage is limited; tell people you'll be gloriously unreachable.
