Why Aharbal

Aharbal is Kashmir's biggest waterfall — the Veshaw river, fed by the high lake of Kousarnag, compresses into a gorge and drops about 25 metres in a permanent thunder of spray. In spring melt it is genuinely loud from the car park. Around it: pine forest, easy viewpoints, and walking trails that most visitors never take past the first railing.

What we arrange

Day trips from Srinagar through saffron and apple country, guided walks to the upper viewpoints, and trek planning for the Kousarnag route (a serious high-altitude walk, best July–September, arranged with local guides).

Good to know

Combine Aharbal with Verinag and Kokernag for a superb one-day 'springs and waterfall' circuit of south Kashmir — we run it often and the sequencing matters; let us order the stops.
